Future
Trees, Inc., located in the softly rolling hills of the lush, green outskirts of
Gainesville
,
FL
, is home to some of the
finest container-grown trees in the
U.S.
Founders, Dan and Karen Strosnider, decided in 1986, that
this was the perfect location to begin farming the trees that would soon bring
them recognition throughout the
Eastern United States
.
Karen
and her elder son, Scott, now run the 110-acre farm, growing around 100,000
trees each year. With so many trees
in various stages of growth at any given time, the job of keeping track of tree
maintenance, as well as farm maintenance is no easy task, but the Stroniders
love their trees and the work they do is a “labor of love”…….. it proves
out in the splendid final products they offer to the wholesale nursery
community.
“We
are proud of our facility and the quality of the trees we ship out to our
buyers,” states Scott. “We
personally monitor every step in the life of every tree. We are a family owned
business and we are hands-on growers, taking care to see that each tree shipped
out measures up to our demanding standards.”
The
friendly, helpful staff at Future Trees is always willing to assist a client.
Frank, the Farm Foreman is knowledgeable and always nearby to field

Originally
growing Leyland Cypress trees exclusively, Future Trees has diversified through
the years, marketing other varieties of trees, shrubs and plants, and now offers
a selection of several fine species that provide a superb and continual source
of nursery ornamentals for landscapers and nursery-growers.
